BEGINNING WITH 2027 BOOKINGS

Our booths stay indoors.

Your celebration can still be outside. Starting with our 2027 season, the photo booth must be placed inside a permanent, climate-controlled space.

WHY WE MADE THIS CHANGE

A quality experience needs controlled conditions.

The Magic Mirror uses a display behind reflective glass to show animations, prompts, and instructions. Outdoors, ultraviolet light and bright ambient light overpower that display. The booth may look like a beautiful mirror, but guests cannot clearly see the interactive experience that makes it special.

After years of working through Maine's changing weather, we have learned that an open-sided tent cannot reliably control reflected daylight, wind-driven rain, moisture, or temperature. Beginning with our 2027 booking season, we will no longer set up photo booths outdoors.

SAME BOOTH · DIFFERENT LIGHT

What the glass can—and cannot—show.

These images show why a roof or tent alone cannot deliver the same experience as a properly controlled indoor space.

01 Daylight outdoors

The reflection is clear. The interactive display is not.
Direct and reflected daylight wash out the animations and instructions behind the glass.
02 After dark or indoors

The display becomes part of the experience.
In controlled light, guests can see the prompts, animation, and interaction as intended. Illustrative after-dark visualization based on the daylight photograph.

MORE THAN A SCREEN ISSUE

A tent is not the same as an indoor venue.

Photo booths combine glass, electronics, cameras, lighting, printers, and carefully aligned components. Stable conditions protect the equipment, give guests a reliable experience, and keep our attendants safe and comfortable throughout your event.

01

Wind

Sidewalls, props, backdrops, and cables can shift or become unsafe even when the sky looks clear.

02

Rain & moisture

Open tent sides do not prevent blowing rain, damp air, condensation, or wet ground around powered equipment.

03

Maine temperatures

A warm afternoon can become a very cold evening—especially in September and October—for guests, attendants, and sensitive electronics.

04

Uneven ground

The booth needs a level, solid, dry surface. Grass, gravel, and soft ground can create alignment and accessibility problems.

THE SETUP WE REQUIRE

Your celebration can be outdoors. The booth must be inside.

✓Permanent indoor spaceA fully enclosed room within the venue—not an open or temporary event tent.
✓Climate controlledA comfortable, dry temperature throughout setup and service.
✓Controlled lightNo direct sun or bright daylight striking the mirror glass.
✓Solid and levelA clean floor with safe power access—not grass, gravel, or exposed ground.
✓Placement confirmed in advanceThe indoor location is part of the event plan before the booking is finalized.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

We are sorry we can no longer offer outdoor booth setups, but we are committed to delivering an experience that looks and works the way it should.

Weather can change quickly. We never want to place an attendant in the difficult position of having to shut down the mirror and pack it away during your celebration. An indoor location lets us protect your plans, care for our team, and give your guests the experience you booked. We are happy to help you identify the best indoor location at your venue.
